What are egg-free cakes?

Our vegan and egg-free cakes and bakes are made with egg replacements, simple right? well, each egg alternative brings something different to the party. Aquafaba (Chickpea water) is great in moist cakes, you know because of all of the water, but would destroy a brownie in most cases. So for brownies something like vegan yoghurt or tofu is a great choice! Dont have tofu, vegan yoghurt or aquafaba at home? dont worry, there are a few other alternatives out there : Flax"egg", Chia"egg", cornstarch, Plain flour, self-raising flour, almond butter, peanut butter, sesame butter, hazelnut butter, pumpkin seeds, sunflower butter, cashew butter, walnut butter, coconut milk, vegan condensed milk, vinegar & lemon, banana, avocado, apple sauce, chickpea flour, agar agar, soya powder, rice powder, soda (Yep, soda) and commercial egg replacements, sorry if we missed some. In our egg-free cakes and bakes, we have done the hard work and found out what replacement goes best in each type of cake, and the taste, texture and quality of each of our egg-free cakes is the same as those with eggs!

What about dairy-free cakes?

Dairy is easy to replace with vegan alternatives and you bet we are going to list all of them! you have soy, oat, cashew, rice, almond, pea, peanut, hemp, potato? (Must try), pistachio, walnut ... you can make dairy-free cakes with the juices from basically any legume, grain, nut and seed. The only thing you need to consider is what flavour are you going for. We tend to stick to classics such as soya or oat alternatives for our dairy-free cakes because we don't think a Bakewell tart with a hint of potato sounds quite right!
